Manufacturers Of Aramid Fiber Kevlar® Tape

MARSHALL Aramid Fiber KEVLAR® Tape is used to avoid the hot glass touch the cold steel roller and avoid any scratch on the glass surface. After being heated by glass tempering furnace at 670-715 ºC, the glass is suddenly and fast cooled by quenching system.

When the hot glass comes into touch a cold metal roller, the glass bursts due to a large temperature difference.

MARSHALL Aramid Fiber KEVLAR® roller Tape spirally wraps around the tempering furnace quenching rollers, forming a lining between the tempered glass and the metal roller, preventing the glass from coming into contact with the low-temperature metal roller, protecting the glass from scratches, collisions, and cold explosions, facilitating the rapid transportation of high-temperature glass, Thereby improving the yield of tempered products.

There are mainly two types of roller conveyor ropes: fiberglass roller conveyor ropes and aramid high-temperature resistant roller conveyor ropes. Glass fiber used to be the main raw material for the production of roller conveyor ropes for tempering furnaces.

After the application of Aramid Fiber KEVLAR® Tape in the production of roller conveyor ropes, due to the lower strength and mechanical properties of glass fiber compared to aramid fiber, aramid high-temperature resistant roller conveyor ropes are gradually replacing glass fiber roller conveyor ropes.

MARSHALL KEVLAR® fiber aramid rope has advantages such as high temperature resistance, fire retardant, high pressure resistance, wear resistance, heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and good mechanical properties. The rope can withstand high temperatures and is a poor conductor of heat. Its surface is soft. When the glass burns red and reaches the softening point, it will not damage the glass surface and will not allow the glass to cool too quickly.

Aramid roller conveyor rope is mainly used for glass tempering furnace roller conveyor, tempering furnace roller winding, etc.

Other than the glass tempering furnace, this aramid KEVLAR® rope also could be used for transportation tables of glass laminating line.

Features

  • Low Specific Gravity: MARSHALL Aramid KEVLAR® Tape product has a density of only 1.36g/cm3 and is lightweight and easy to transport and replace.
  • Low Extension: MARSHALL Aramid Fiber KEVLAR® Tape product has a low elongation of only 3.6% and is not easily deformed during long-term use.
  • Low Thermal Expansion Coefficient: MARSHALL Aramid KEVLAR® Tape When the product is exposed to hot objects, the product will not be deformed due to sudden high temperature, which will affect normal use.
  • High Intensity: MARSHALL Aramid KEVLAR® Tape product is made of KEVLAR® fiber and has high strength, wear resistance and high temperature resistance.
  • High Temperature Resistance, Flame Resistance: MARSHALL Aramid KEVLAR® Tape product has high temperature resistance, long-term high temperature resistance

Key Features:

Aramid Fiber KEVLAR® Tape High Toughness (Work-To-Break), High Tensile Strength at Low Weight, Lower compression strength Low Elongation to Break, High Modulus (Structural Rigidity) Elongation at break High Cut Resistance Low Electrical Conductivity Low Thermal Shrinkage Flame Resistant, Self-Extinguishing  Critical Temperature 800°C Excellent Dimensional Stability Relatively poor compression strength Durability.

Wide Application:

Aramid Fiber Kelvar Tape is mainly used for high temperature operations, special ship, electrical engineering, marine opration, various types of slings, suspension, research and other fields.

Aramid Fiber Kevlar® rope uses Kevlar® fiber as raw material with advantages of high temperature resistance, wear resistance, cutting resistance, high strength, no scratch glass, etc. The glass is heated by a furnace at a temperature of 700-800°C. and then cooled by a grill. The glass is exposed to cold metal rollers due to a large temperature difference. The aramid roller rope spirally cools the roller of the furnace, Metal liner between the formation of padding, the glass cannot be exposed to low temperature metal roller, glass to avoid scratches, collisions, cold burst. Thereby improving the yield of steel.
