Manufacturers Of Aramid Fiber Kevlar® Webbing Tape
MARSHALL Aramid Fiber KEVLAR® Tape is specially designed and manufactured for glass tempering furnace. It is working as the transportation rope which wrapped onto the quenching steel rollers inside cooling section.
MARSHALL Aramid Fiber KEVLAR® Tape is used to avoid the hot glass touch the cold steel roller and avoid any Scratch on the glass surface. After being heated by glass tempering furnace at 670-715 ºC, the glass is suddenly and fast cooled by quenching system. When the hot glass comes into touch a cold metal roller, the glass bursts due to a large temperature difference.
MARSHALL Aramid Fiber KEVLAR® Tape spirally wraps around the tempering furnace quenching rollers, forming a lining between the tempered glass and the metal roller, preventing the glass from coming into contact with the low-temperature metal roller, protecting the glass from scratches, collisions, and cold explosions, facilitating the rapid transportation of high-temperature glass, Thereby improving the yield of tempered products.
There are mainly two types of roller conveyor ropes: fiberglass roller conveyor ropes and aramid high-temperature resistant roller conveyor ropes. ARAMID FIBER KEVLAR® WEBBING TAPE used to be the main raw material for the production of roller conveyor ropes for tempering furnaces.
After the application of aramid fiber KEVLAR® TAPE in the production of roller conveyor ropes, due to the lower strength and mechanical properties of glass fiber compared to aramid fiber, aramid high-temperature resistant roller conveyor ropes are gradually replacing glass fiber roller conveyor ropes.
MARSHALL aramid fiber KEVLAR® Rope has advantages such as high temperature resistance, fire retardant, high pressure resistance, wear resistance, heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and good mechanical properties. The rope can withstand high temperatures and is a poor conductor of heat. Its surface is soft. When the glass burns red and reaches the softening point, it will not damage the glass surface and will not allow the glass to cool too quickly.
Aramid Fiber KEVLAR® roller conveyor rope is mainly used for glass tempering furnace roller conveyor, tempering furnace roller winding, etc. Other than the glass tempering furnace, this aramid KEVLAR® rope also could be used for transportation tables of glass laminating line.
Features
- Low Specific Gravity: The product has a density of only 1.36g/cm3 and is lightweight and easy to transport and replace.
- Low Extension: The product has a low elongation of only 3.6% and is not easily deformed during long-term use.
- Low Thermal Expansion Coefficient: When the product is exposed to hot objects, the product will not be deformed due to sudden high temperature, which will affect normal use.
- High Intensity: The product is made of KEVLAR® fiber and has high strength, wear resistance and high temperature resistance.
- High Temperature Resistance, Flame Resistance: The product has high temperature resistance, long-term high temperature resistance up to 330 ° C, short-term high temperature resistance is up to 600 ° C Degree, fire retardant does not support combustion.
- High Chemical Resistance, High stability, and Resistance to creep: The product is chemically stable. When it is attacked by strong acid and alkali materials, it will not produce large performance changes. It is used normally in harsh environments, so it has a long service life and does not need to be replaced frequently.
- Electrical insulator: The product is non-conductive and electrically insulated, making the product safer during use and isolating the risk of electric shock.
Applications
- Aerospace and Aviation: Used in the aerospace industry for reinforcing structures and components of aircraft, enhancing strength while minimizing weight.
- Automotive: In the automotive sector, it's applied for reinforcing high-stress parts, such as chassis and engine components, improving performance and safety.
- Marine: For boat hulls and sails, aramid tape provides increased strength and resistance against environmental wear, improving durability and performance.
- Sports Equipment: Used in the construction of high-performance sports gear, including racing bicycles, tennis rackets, and surfboards, offering improved strength and vibration damping.
- Electrical Insulation: Its thermal resistance and insulating properties make it an excellent choice for insulating electrical wires and components, especially in high-temperature environments.
- Civil Engineering: Applied in bridge construction, concrete reinforcement and repair work, aramid fiber tape helps in enhancing the structural integrity and longevity of buildings and infrastructure.
